Gas for older tractors

I had trubble with my TO 20 and my tea 20 thay did'nt want to run wright thay worked good for the firest 20 years but the last 15 thay dident have the power and thay just did'nt have the power . I rebulit the moter on the TO 20 and rebulit the carb and had the mcanic work it over but it run just the same so I bought another tractor and it come with a oweners manual and it said to use 93 octain gas then I remeberd the old leaded gas was a higher octain then the unleaded id been using wich is about 87. I switched to the hugher stuff 94 oct and thay perr like a kitten ps. this is a good sight I always felt bad because my tractors were so old as is my equepment my mcanic when I use one is always telling me I need to get newer stuff I like My older tractors I can usely fix it my self unless i dont have the tools but its good to know that im not a lone and that so maney are proud of there older tractors . so I say to heck with my mcanic ill keep my FERGUSONS thanks george T
