They say you just finished a nice F40? I'm looking for the red Ferguson hood decals and paint colors or codes. Also looking for the throttle lever and linkage. It's broke on the bottom of lever and ball joint rod is gone. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry for the tardiness in responding.

Paint codes for the F-40 are:

Flint gray: Dupont L7949, NAPA 3746, PPG 34690, SW 4650

Bamboo Beige:

Dupont L8071, NAPA 22986, PPG 25035, SW 321145 or 71551

I believe you cn still get the throttle arm with the two joints from MF (the one that connects the lever to the plate under the dash with the long tube running to the governor. Try Mac Tractor Parts (1-800-882-4742) to see if they might have a used throttle lever (the one that sticks out of the dash - chromed).

The best red side hood decals I've ever found come from K & K Antique tractors (317-398-9883).

Thanks a lot Paul. No problem. We are still gathering more parts and probably won't paint till fall or winter now. Still looking for the bottom shroud piece under the grill. Been doing some shredding with it and just got a pair of vise grips on there for throttle lever now. lol. It works. This is just a regular F40. I would still like to find a high arch row crop F40 as my grandpa use to have one of them with a large fold out cultivator on front but I remember them trading it off years ago. We had a MF 135 for a while w/o power steering and the 3 cyld perkins but I like this F 40 a lot better. Thanks for the info.

GLEN WE GOT A NICE REPRODUCTION CHIN PIECE THAT IS MADE OUT OF FIBERGLASS FROM TIPS INC. IN LAWRENCEBURG,TN. THE NUMBER IS 1-800-545-9967.

By the way, TIPS is one of the nicest dealers to work with. They're a M-F dealer. If you haven't called them yet, tell Joan that Rick Weaver in Memphis, TN says "Hi!". If you need an obscure part, she'll try to locate it for you.

They also sell on ebay, their seller id is "mfnut".
