Hi guys i have nearly finished the restoration of my '51 TEA20 and i am having trouble with the bonnet fitting properly. When i bolt it on it hits the radiator cap and does not sit on the dash rubber, about 3/4" off. There is a rubber washer between the radiator and its mount that is about 1/4" thick so i can not lower the radiator any further. Every thing looks right but it still does not fit.

The rubber washer under the radiator is correct and should be fitted to stop vibration on the radiator. Is the bonnet the original one off this tractor or have you got it from somewhere else, I am just wondering if it is a TEF (diesel) as they are different but I did think that they would fit. The hole for the starting handle will be perfectly round if it is a Diesel bonnet and egg shaped if it is for a spark engine. Next thing is the radiator, are you sure that it is a TEA radiator if it is too tall it would cause your problem, it could be one from an FE35 which looks similar. The actual radiator core on a TEA should be 15-1/16" wide and 17-5/16 high, this is only the core or matrix, the header tank is in addition to this, but the core is where the difference will be if anywhere.
