Engine serial number plates

I have a 1950 TO-20 that I have been rebuilding and using for several years. I got annoyed at the serial number plate on the engine because it was wiped pretty much clean of any markings by years of previous owners cleaning things off. I found two vendors of Continental engine serial number plates and got one of each. Neither matches what was originally on my engine. If you hold it just right to the light, mine has a faint image of the Harry Ferguson logo across the top, and the Continental stuff below. I've looked as gazillions of photos, and have only seen this in the original Ferguson TO-20 Service Manual in a pair of photos which show an early and a late version of something(haven;t got the boot in front of me) and it seems from that photo's caption that the serial number plate I have was used until mid or late 1950 and then replaced by the ones you can by as replacements. OK, can anybody help with a clear photo of the early Z-129 engine serial number plate? Otherwise I have to put the reproduction later one on the engine. No big deal, I know, but the sort of thing that just bugs me a little bit.

Steve,

Let me know what you find out about the plate. My plate hab been wiped clean too! There are a few stamped numbers but that is about all I can read.
