I purchased a PerTronic electronic ignition conversion kit #1142 for my TO35. When I went to install the magnet over the distributor shaft it would not fit. Seems to be too small. Thanks in advance for any good suggestions.

I just installed one on my TO-20 without any problems. Did you rotate the magnet on the shaft until the slots lined up ? Do this while pushing down, you should feel it go in. It may fit a little tight.

Call the Pertronix factory tech support line.

They have helped me several times.

Phone: (909) 599-5955

There is also application information on their website.

I sent my distributor to Pertronix and found that the distributor in my TO35 Fergerson was a Ford distributor. They were good enough to install the correct Ignitor into my distributor. They installed for (clockwise rotation) The TO35 is (counter clockwise) rotation. This may sound stupid, but do I just slide the Ignitor to the next set of holes or do I need to reverse the Ignitor. Thanks everone for all your responses.
