I saw a recent Ebay posting for a Ferguson TO20. The pictured showed a Woods 5 foot belly mower attached to the TO 20. Has anyone ever mounted and used a belly mower on a TO35. How did it work?

I have about 2 acres of mowing to do. some is in pasture that is used as play field for the kids. The remainder is in christmas trees that I keep mowed between rows.

I have considered rotary and flail mower, but have never seen a belly mower for my 35. Which mower do you folks think would be best?

Will, Contential Belton out of Belton Texas makes a 72 in. cut finish BELLY mower that runs off the 3pt hitch of any kind of tractor. On and off in 10 min. I have one for my TO 35 and its a fast mower for open lawn, cut a 6ft. path at 6 mph (Thats mowing Grass). They sold out to a company called Ag-Meir,1000 E 6th ave. Belton, TX PH. 254-939-3731. A new one is about $1800.00

Are you mowing between your trees with your 35?? What's your spacing between rows?? I got a TO-30 and a 6-ft finish mower -- but my trees are 6 ft grid pattern....

My tress are set at 8 foot grids. How do the finish mowers work in taller grass 6-10 inches?

I like the finish mowers in reply to Oregon Will, 04-29-2005 10:37:30
I use a finish mower. These are easily attached and removed. Since they ride on 4 wheels, you don't have any problem setting the height with the 3pt hitch.

They do a nice job, but I guess they are not as convenient for tight spaces as the belly mower would be.

Don't know if this applies, but I have a friend who has a belly mower on his Ford 8N. He says if your going to put one on, plan on keeping it on, too much trouble to switch for other uses. He uses his 8N strictly for mowing. Good luck.
