Hey fella, I'm threatening to switch my TO-20 over to 12V so I can run a 12V vineyard sprayer, get better light output for night operations, etc. Don't see a conversion kit on this web site for a TO-20. Where can I get a good solid alt. bracket? I've seen some real sloppy home- made brackets on N's, don't want that, want something that looks more "professional"... which pretty much rules out anything that I could come up with.
thanks

Someone tried to upgrade the electrical system but used an 8V batery and adjusted the generator regulator to suit. Now I find the 6V starter has one burned winding. Has anyone ever tried to repair such a thing?

The tractor belongs to landlord. He won't sell; nor wil he spend any money tp preserve it.
Apparently he doesn't understand maintenance. When I found the tractor at back of barn it had water in tranny, two year old gas in tank.
Evidently the landlord figured you had to whack the carb to make it work. Consequently the float bowl was 1/8" out of round and float was jamming.
He's never heard of replacing hoses or changing oil in air filter etc etc.

I can't afford to spend money on a machine that doesn't belong to me. However I'm reasonably handy so I don't mind spending some time to fabricate minor parts.

Need information on correct float adjustment height and also brush spring tension for starter.

Arild

I had my 6-volt generator rewound to 12 volts. Plenty of output and no "unprofessional" appearance. Undetectable from stock..... .P
