I have a Ferguson 35 4 cylinder diesel with the serial number SDM150797. Can anyone tell me the year of manufacture and the exact model from this serial number?

I stand corrected, I did the quick SN search. A. Evans, definitly go and re-look at the SN to verify the number and model type. The model type should also be on the data plate where the SN was taken.

Its an MF35 made in UK 1959 S = Standard width..(not narrow or vineyard)
D = Diesel (23c engine)
M = Dual Clutch (live PTO)
There are similar numbers in the TO35 series but I don't think they had a diesel when that number came up in 1955 and the engine was only introduced in June 1956 so it appears to be as above.

You may want to double check your SN. The Standard Diesel engine was not available in the TO-35 until 1958 and the first Diesel SN was 180742.

A. Evans:

The serial number indicates you have a Standard Chasie (4-wheel normal clearance), diesel Engine, with a 2 stage clutch. The number indicates it is a TO-35 and was built in 1955.
