A freind wants to swap my complete TO 30 engine into his TO 20 Tractor. I beleive this is a direct bolt in swap out if the complete engine is used. Am I correct on this? Is there any other modification I am missing?? Thanks, Mark H.

I have a TO-30 engine in my TO-20. I did the switch about six years ago and don't remember all of the details. I am using the TO-20 generator on mine. I bought a rebuilt engine and ordered the Z129 because of the oilfilter location. I had to change the oil pickup, oil pan, and add the external oil filter. It sure runs sweet, and lots of pep.

I'm not sure if the Z120 bolts up to the TO-30 chasis (i.e. the bellhousing). I think the bracket for the generator is different and there is a small spacer between the right side of the engine block and where the front axle assembly bolts to the block. The rear axle is also different as I recall. Hope this helps.
