Jim W, I just got an old Allied 'reversable' V-type blower but it is missing the 3 point mount assembly that slips into the tubes. I saw the one picture you posted but wonder if you have any that show more of the 3 point assembly? I already contacted Buhler Mfg. in Winnipeg and surprisingly got a response from John Buhler within 20 minutes telling me that they bought Allied in 1981 and forwarded my request to the Allied Division. Five minutes later the Sales Mamanger for Allied products contacted me and told me they don't have any old archive manuals or parts drawings.
I opened my email so you can email anything you've got to me.

Thanks, Al

Hi Al,
Not sure where you saw the picture, but all I have are on the following web page.
I have since sold mine to a guy who wanted the reversible feature, so I can't take any more pictures.
I believe the horizontal tubes are a standard size, like water pipe or so. It wouldn't be too tough to make up the section you're missing. What you can't see in the picture is that where the tubes slide in, they have a flat tab welded to the side of them that bolts on to the frame of the main part of the blower - you can see the holes for these bolts just inboard of where the tubes slide in.
Now this will all be by memory but if you want to ask me more try me at jim dot wallace at netscape dot ca.
Jim

Jim,

Thanks, the view of the A-frame is exactly what I needed. If I have any more questions as it goes back together, I'll send you a message.

Thanks for the help,
Al
