On November 13, 2004 someone posted a picture of a TO 30 and asked the price. It was painted red and nobody commented on the color. I thought the TO 30s were gray, what is the color supposed to be?

IT is all suppossed to be like a battleship gray. If you search the archives of this chat board, some of the guys give you the correct color code, although I have read they varied quite a bit. Mine is all red on the bottom like a Ford 8N but the hood and fenders are the right color gray... kinda makes it look like an 8N too. My son wants me to repaint it with a flame job now...HA,Ha. I just got back from New Mexico last month where I saw an 8N painted bright yellow with a yellow on yellow flame job... what an eyecatcher that was. That tractor was being used at a street rod shop as a yard tractor... so that is to be expected. But now I am seriously thinking about being creative with my colors too. That battle ship gray is a bit boring... even if I am normally a purist when I've restored cars.
