My TO-35 is SN 143273. I cannot find a kit to rebuild the pump. Every kit I find is for SN 179### and up. Can you get a kit for the older pumps?

Have you removed your lift cover to be sure you still have the original pump in your tractor the TO35 had what we called a split bodied pump it had the valve chambers cast right into the body of the pump. If this is the pump you have as far as I know the parts for it are no longer available. The valve chamber & O-ring kit the control valve & relief valve from the pump with serial # 179304 and up will work in the old split bodied pump. Most of those pumps I was into the last few years I worked on them the pistons and piston bores were worn so bad they were not rebuildable. you can use the complete pump for the later serial # 179304 and up it will fit right in place of the old split bodied pump. Hope some of this helps.

I think you will find that the kit you need is the one for the tractor serial number 179*** and above. The difference is that the pistons were fitted with rings after that number and the early type like yours doesn't have rings on the pistons. If you get the later kit it will make your tractor into the later spec. Differences are the side chambers and the dia of the pistons but if you have the kit they will be replaced anyway.
