The hydraulics on my TEA 20 Ser.# 193649 do not work at all. Moving the lever up and down, even without an implement, does nothing. I pulled the dipstick and checked the oil, and it is clear . . . no milky or cloudy appearance. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do next? I have a fairly comprehensive manual that I bought from this site, but I don't want to tear in too deep if there are simple things to try first

Thanks

Jere

If it is broken, it must be inside the casing. The entire shaft seems to be rotating alright. The threaded part sticking out moves with the lever, so the lever is not just rotating on a stationary shaft or anything.

i have seen one where , the oil had not been changed in years and had alot of moisture in it , well when it got real cold in the winter , it must of frooze or something and he forced it and snapped the lever right at the rotating point, went the whole winter with it BROKE, i checked it for him in the summer and found the broken lever.

If you are sure that the PTO is in gear, most likely cause is the control valve has stuck for some reason. if you email me at fergusontractors at hotmail dot com I can send you data sheet on what to check for this problem and more if you need it.
