This device is mounted on the side of my TO-30 that I just purchased. The plate on the device says is was manufactured by Earth Equip. Corp. in Los Angeles, CA. It has a rod attached to the control lever and there appears to be a cork washer under the lever that the rod is attached to. Does anyone know about this device and how I could get a picture or any other information to put it back into operation. thanks

Well hey, that looks like my picture! The shaft in the center has a spring and nut on it to adjust pressure. There should be two cork disks on either side of the plate which provide friction. The piece in the slot is a cam stop which limits the movement, and the rod attaches to the quadrant lever. I will take some more detailed pics when I get home this weekend and post a link for you

Ralph,
The cork appears to go on either side of a paddle shaped piece and then there is a round piece that slides on the three mounting bolts which could apply pressure from the springs. What diameter is the spring and how tall, also what diameter is the spring material. How is the cam stop constructed and is it adjustable throughout the range of the slot? I would like to post a picture, but am at a loss to understand the process.

That is exactly what I have and need info. to get I restored. The shaft in the center is bare and the piece in the slot is missing. Otherwise everything else is present.

Your picture didn't show but my guess it looks something like this home made "position control" I made for my 9N Ford. Is it? Please post the picture if you can and I may be of more help.
