Brake problem

I have a 1951 To30. The turning brakes are hooked up but the main brakes are not. I found the rods to hook them up but my question is; do the rods from the brake pedal attach above or below the brake shaft on the rearend? Mine is currently below the shaft and I seen one on ebay that was below also but I saw a to20 with it above. It makes sense that it would be above the shaft as the rod moves toward the front of the tractor as brakes are applied. Maybe someone could post or email me a picture. I have the parts book but I could not tell by the diagram. Thanks

They hang below the brake shafts. Did you know that you can pull the independant brake pedal up by hand to apply the brake on that wheel, some people do but a lot don't. that is useful if you are turning into some crop rows and you are using the clutch pedal at the same time.
