Hi!
I own a FE35 (SGM29830). Can anybody tell me if this model was born with 12v +ground ?

Im not so sure that the serial is correct (Red bonnet, but w gold body), I have found an additional number between the sparkplugs (301795), is there any lists to reveal engine numbers/year, on the net?

regards
MArk

your tractor was made in 1957, the other number is your engine number, it should be prefixed by a couple of letters. Colour for that year was Grey and bronze. For UK it was definitley positive ground.
S = normal width
G = gas (Petrol) 6:1 compression
M = Dual clutch

Thanks for your answer John!
I will keep the positive ground then :)
I have studied the engineblock closely and can only find an aditional C between plug 1 og 2. further down on the block is a single 2.
The gearcase has 182 849 M1 castet
(beside the model serial engravings)

The engine serial number if its a spark engine will be on the left side between the oil filler and the ignition coil, Diesels are on front right side of the cylinder block above the dynamo at the joint with the cylinder head. That number you gave is the part number of whatever its cast into
