Been thinking of installing a electric fuel pump on my 23C diesel. Have not been happy with my mechical pump. My question is what psi pump should I get? and what volume should it be? Thank You. Also has anyone else ever did this and is it a good idea or not ?

Why would you want to do this? If the mechanical pump is faulty would it not be easier to replace it? Or maybe the camshaft lobe is worn? No doubt you have your reasons. Would you mind sharing them? I have a 23c myself so am wondering, if this is the solution, what the problem might be.

Sorry I don't know what pressure is for 23c but reckon it won't be much different from MF135. If this is in the workshop manual I will look for it for you.

Have had many troubles with the mech pumps. Have seen some post a while back about installing elec. pumps and that they will over come some wek or worn injector pumps as well. Plus I know I can get a elec. pump much cheaper than the price they get for the cheap after market pumps not to mention what the dealer will gouge U for an OEM
