8N Loader on a TO35

I am getting ready to guy a loader for my TO35. I have two in mind. One is off a 8N and I am pretty sure it should work with little effort. The other one is off a IH and has two brackets that on the IH mounted to the sides of the trans.

So, Here is the question. There are 4 large bolts on a steel plate on the bottom of the TO35 tranny. Can a plate be bolted across this to support a loader.?

Is there a "preferred list" of loaders that will work on a 55 MF TO35.

Thanks Joe

Just my 2 cents, I wouldn't bolt anything as heavy as a loader to the transmission. You have to remember all of that weight will be transferred back to that point when lifted. That is why you will rarely find a loader that mounts to other than the rear axle.

I put a Skyline Ford loader on my Fergy 20. I don't know how the 30 differs. I can guess that it will rather straight forward at the back and the work will be at the front. My major problem was mounting the front pump and gathering up the various couplers/shafts/fittings required. We got there and it works Ok for a 50 year old junkyard refugee.

I know from experience that the 8N loaders that bolt to the axles, ie., front and rear axles of the tractor, don't bolt right up on a 35. They will bolt up on a 30, but the 35 is slightly longer, about 2.5 inches i believe. Of course you can fashion brackets, etc., and if you have a loader, like the one off the IH, that bolts someplace else other than to the axles, that might work ok, I don't know. But the normal 8N loaders, like Dearborn or Wagner, mostly bolted to the axles, and my experience is those don't fit the 35 without mods. Hope that helps.
