I recently aquired a TO-35 that is a real work horse, ONCE you get it started. Even on warm days you have to use the glow plugs to get it running. It is a strong pulling tractor and runs good, just hard to get going. Any suggestions?

If you have the 4-cylinder Standard Motors diesel engine - welcome to the world of hard starting engines.

I have one and she's a hard starter no matter what. My glow plugs don't work - I use ether to start it. But she'll always start - no matter how cold as long as I crank her for a while.

Need wiring diagram for TO 35. Having problem with gettting power to the glow plugs possibly ground fault problem. Also trying to wire alternator to the wiring system.
