I am about to take on the task of completely tearing down my TO35 to rebuild the engine and fix the sheet metal then repaint everything...My question is this: Does anyone know the fine details of what is Green and what is Gray?? I know generally speaking the sheet metal is Gray and the cast parts are Green, but what about engine accessories, Fan, Valve Cover, etc....I would appreciate any help...if no one has a clue then I will just do what I think looks good....

Did you ever find out a paint code # or any further information on the green paint? I have a TO 35 same year as yours.
Thanks.

Charley,

This is the generally accepted paint scheme for the 1955 TO-35:

Gray: fenders & fender brackets, hood, instrument panel, seat (except spring), hydraulic control quadrant, front wheel rims, rear wheel center discs, lights (optional chrome bezels) & light brackets.

Green: engine & castings, brake drums, brake/clutch linkage and pedals, fuel tank, seat spring, steering linkage, steering box & column, radiator shroud, foot steps, shift levers (except knobs), hydraulic linkage (except plated adjustment crank, air cleaner & tube, battery platform, 3 hood badge backgrounds, tractor SN plate background,

Matte black: distributor, generator, starter, engine SN plate background

Silver: rear rims

Hope this helps.
