I have a TO-20 and it will not run on gas alone it will run on starter fluid all day. the carb is getting gas, and if you completly choke off the air and then lift your hand it will fire but not run. I have torn the carb apart and cleaned it in parts cleaner and put a rebuild kit in it. The only thing that i saw on the picture of the kit that is not on the carb, was a power neddel that screws in from the bottom of the carb from the out side with what appered to be a packing nut. All I have is a brass screw any Ideas

Also check that you don't have any air leaks, even very small ones. Check for wear on the throttle valve spindle.

Also have a good trawl through the archives - this discussion comes up pretty frequently, under won't start, starting problems, or carb setting/adjustment.

A number of people have just given the carb to a repair shop to get them to fix and set it. It may save you time if you don't feel up to doing it yourself.

what looks like good fuel flow may not be enough try blowing air back thru the fuel line could be dirt in it. regards
