Hi..I have a 1957 TO35 134cu with a bad engine..Will a 129cu engine fit in this tractor? Have a chance to pick one up, a lot cheaper than fixing the 134. Just going to use it for raking hay...etc. Thanks Bob

I think this is the same engine with slightly more CI and HP. The 129=129CI (used in the TO30), and the 134=134CI (used in the TO35).. This is 6CI and approx. 4HP(drawbar)(17%) difference. I don't know anything about clutch or flywheel differences or transmission shaft differences.

What drives the hyd. pump on the TO 35?? Wasn't it the engine rather than the PTO?

The engine drives everything of course, but the pump is driven by the second stage of the clutch not directly geared to the engine crankshaft. Big Dean will know if this engine swap will work.

Hi guys..Just a follow up note..Ray, thank you for Dean,s web site. A great place to visit and learn at the same time!Dean emailed me back and had the information I needed. The bell housing's ARE different! Sooo, I think I'll take my 134 block to the same place I took my MM 4 star heads, and start from scratch. Thanks to all, and I'll keep ya posted
