Am looking for 1 or 2-bottom plow and small disc for a TE-20. In my search yesterday, I was told they are becoming harder to find. Was priced $225 for 2-bottom plow and $325 for small disc. Seems awfully high to me. What's the story on this market? I live in Northeast Missouri.

Howdy Terry-
If you click on the Photo Ads on the left side of this page and search for item #22704 you'll find a Ford 2-bottom plow in your neck of the woods. Also, item #22725 is a real sweet Ferguson plow in all original splendor. I see great deals all the time but be warned, transport can cost $1.00/$1.50 per mile for hauling, so a $200.00 plow could end up costing you $800.00 or more...hope this helps...

Terry; Where do you live in "Northeast MO."? I live in Vandalia and have sold some equipment for $100.00 for 4 pieces. I may know a few people in the area who may have something and can put out feelers to see what's out there. What exactly are you looking for (size and type of each), don't get as technical as some of these guys because they are all just plows to me.

Joe

Keep looking Terry. I live in Illinois, not far from you, and I found a 2 bottom, H. Ferguson 2 bottom plow, all there and looking great, but with bad shares [neither he nor I knew until I put it into the ground], and paid $120. He also had, not advertised, a dirt scoop for $40. Good price? I don't know, but I was pleased, so I guess that is what counts!

Keep.checking the Nemo trader paper. Something will turn up.

It depends. Are they new or used? If used, are they collectible and what is the condition? The Dearborn and Ferguson equipment with nameplates, for example, will bring more money than a nondescript piece or a more modern piece in similar condition. Does the plow have the coulters and rear wheel and no welds and good shares? Is it a double row disk, or a semi-rare disk like a Dearborn bog disk, etc.? Those prices might or might not be good, depending on the answers to those questions.
