I'm having a hard time stopping fuel leaks in my 1959 FE35. The primary & secondary fuel filters, are weeping fuel. It looks like the leak is coming from the filter body, & tightening bolt on the bottom. I replaced all of the copper washers, gaskets,& O rings. I did everything else I could think of. Is there an adapter for using the modern spin on filters? Is the fuel line that supply’s fuel to the thermostart necessary. I'm getting a small leak from there also. The Thermostart is missing & the hole in the manifold is plugged. Can I remove the fuel supply line to the thermostart reservoir without concern? Could I realize easier starting if I installed a Glow Plug in the intake manifold where the thermostart use to be?

Thanks
