Go to harry furgeson .com it will give you list of serial # Ford and furgeson had agreement that went byway side all ford tractors in that time were flat head but had furgeson system logo
because fergy had the three point hitch that most tractors use today after they split around 1949 the tractors changed to 2n,8n, and fergy went to england they made a te 20,30
when ever they came back they called it a TO 20.30 that meant over seas from england.

I think the two easiest ways to differentiate (sp?) is first, Fergy motors are overheads and Fords of that era are flatheads. Also, the bars in the grill on a Fergy are horizontal and the Ford's are vertical.

From 1939-1947 Ford and Ferguson were together, The implements for the 9N said Ferguson and the tractor said Ford tractor/Ferguson system, then they split in 1947 and the implements for the TO20 still said Ferguson and the tractor just said Ferguson, if the plate says the town of Dearborn it is before 1944, if it says Detroit it is after 1944. You can get wearing parts from your local New Holland (Ford) dealer or a Massey Ferguson dealer.
