I purchased a Ferguson. The serial number is TEA383650-TO-35??? which was made in Coventry, England. The little plate says the same thing. My qustion is why does the serial number start with a TEA before the number??? Should it not be "TO"??
Also does any one have a pix of that model so I will know what color is was when it was built. It is a older restoration and it is painted like a "8n", gray tin and red motor. Can anyone help. tks

Ray - Dupont #652D (chip 32) is an accurate original color for your tractor. This color was available only in Dulux quality. But if your Dupont dealer has an old color chart, chip #32 can be matched to any current finish, such as Centari (an acrylic enamel that is excellent for quality restorations). If you have no luck, e-mail me your mailing address and I will send you a color ship.

Ray,
Your Fergie is an English version. Only the Fergusons made in the USA had TO. Stood for Tractor Overseas. TE stood for Tractor England.
As for original color...it was almost certainly machinery gray. Drab little beasties they were.
