I have located the engine # on my fergie: its S7736E, which I know means its a standard engine. But, how can I find out the serial number or when the tractor was made?..there is no serial number, someone has taken the plate off (the swine!!)

Hi!
In front of the oil- measurer on the transmission, there should be 3 sets of numbers eg. 3 4 51 They show when the tractor was made the 3rd of the 4th 1951, because the to20 and te20 were only produced for about ten years. My serial number plate is missing too. Just in case, I have seen some fergy's which do not have those numbers, and I don't know what to do in that case. Hope this helps!
