I have a farmall superC and it seems to me to have a two point hitch. Is there any way to hook a bush hog to this tractor. My Ford and Furgeson both have 3 point hitches but are not strong enough for the bush hog. If anyone knows how or where to do a 3rd point hookup it would be greatly appreciated.

I built one just like Wardner's third picture, found some small points and fabricated from there. The C does not lend itself real well to the top-link adaptor, but it can be done. All of my little 3pt. stuff varies in width enough that it will cause mounting problems on a rigid or ball and prong style adapter, so I came up with an L-shaped locking slot instead of a ball socket, it is more forgiving width-wise, and faster to hook up. Whatever you use, the shorter the better. My SC seems like it will handle a little more load on the hitch than my Fords, and the down pressure is real nice too.

The easiest way is to purchase an IH conversion adaptor. I think they were produced in the aftermarket as well. I have two and they are both different. Mine have the large points so I am not sure if they were available for the C-sized points.

I just finished adapting a Valby chipper to my 504 set up with a Fast Hitch. I drilled two IH points to accept the 3PTH lower pins. The top link is secured to a bracket I made for the back of the 504.

Send me an email, I will take some pictures.

Cheap way to adapt 3pth implement to Fast Hitch. Need a spare set of FH points and top link.

This is an IH adaptor I used to mount a 3pth bush hog on to a SMTA with Fast Hitch.

This is a later style adaptor made to fit Fast Hitches with removable sockets.
