Just wanted to update everyone on my super C project. Just got the starter back from the rebuild shop and it cranks like a new one. To all who will listen: check the starter first before you decide to separate a tractor to replace ring gear. It costs less and is less work. Also SC will only run now on full choke. As soon as you open it up it dies. Tried Carb cleaner and replaced the sediment assembly. Carb was rebuilt before I bought it, but sat 4 years without being started. You all are great help and I look forward to your imput. Patrick

Sat 4 years should say a lot to you. Condensation causes rust and your carb is probably full of rust and gum from the old gas that was in it. You need to open it up soak it a day or 2 in a good carb cleaner like beemans and put a kit in it.
