I have an offer to buy a 1972 great condition cub lo boy 154 for 300 dollars has sat for 2 years but motor not frozen up should i buy it.

If you are going to depend on it for work, it may not be a good choice. I have had one about 10 years. It has needed some kind of repair about half that time. It is not as tough a tractor as the regular farmall cubs. Most parts are still available at your local dealer though. Do a search on this forum and you will get the opinion of other owners. I do enjoy cutting the grass with it, but spend a lot more time on repairs than I care to, especially the clutches (drive and PTO).
