Can anyone tell me please the simple way of tuning a Super M carburettor?
Has been sitting idle for a few months as we do up the clutch and a few other jobs. Engine runs okay, but we cannot seem to slow the idle right down. Is there a correct tuning procedure we should be aware of?

If you had the carb off be sure that the throttle shaft inside the tube that runs between the governor and the carb is installed correctly. The end of the throttle shaft in the tube fits into a notch on the carb throttle shaft.

The problem may be in your governor, or in the throttle linkage, try backing out the idle speed screw on the carb., if it doesn't slow down, then you need to look somewhere besides the carb.

Many thanks Rusty, we think we may have to overall the governor, and you just confirmed we have more work to do.
