AUNT BARBS MEMORY 2-N | THIS RESTORE STARTED OUT TO BE JUST A ENGINE OVERHAUL HOWEVER LOOKING AT THIS WEBSITE CHANGE MY MIND I GOT TO THINKING WHAT A BETTER WAY TO SPEND TIME WITH MY FATHER WHO IS IN HIS 70S BUT STILL FUNCTIONS AT HIS 40S PACE AND MY SON JOE.AND SO AFTER LOOKING AT ALL THE GREAT PICTURES AND READING ALL THE STORY'S WE BEGAN. THIS WAS A DREAM OF MINE AND MY WIFE TAMMY WHO I BELIEVE TO BE THE BEST WIFE EVER. BUT WE HAD TO OVERCOME A LOT OF ADVERSITY THROUGHOUT THIS PROCESS WE STARTED IN MAY 2010 AND TWO WEEKS IN TO THE PROJECT MY MOTHERS SISTER OUR CLOSEST AUNT WHO HAD COPD BECAME VERY ILL WE HAD TO STOP AND SPEND AS MUCH TIME WITH HER AS POSSIBLE HER TIME WITH US WAS DRAWING CLOSE TO THE END HER NAME WAS AUNT B SHE WILL BE MISSED TERRIBLY I LOVE HER WITH ALL MY HEART I DEDICATE THIS RESTORE TO HER MEMORY. SO WE WERE ABLE TO RESTART IN AUGUST AND WITH A LOT OF BLOOD SWEAT AND ARGUING ARE TEMPERS WERE SHORT BECAUSE OF ALL OUR GRIEF BUT WE RECOGNIZED AND WE PRESSED ON WE WENT THROUGH THE WHOLE TRACTOR. BEST THING WE DID TO THIS CLASSIC WAS PUT ON ELECTRONIC IGNITION FIRES RIGHT UP EVERY TIME USED THE PERTRONIX IGNITION HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THERE PARTS HAD TO HAVE THEME SEND US THREE BEFORE WE GOT A GOOD ONE.MOST OF PARTS CAME FROM A TRACTOR PARTS STORE IN KNIGHTS TOWN INDIANA CALLED N COMPLETE MY FATHER AND I AND JOE DID EVER THING OUR SELFS THE ONLY WORK WE SENT OUT WAS VALVE WORK. THROUGH A LOT OF HARD TIMES THIS TRACTOR IN SO MANY WAYS HAS LESSEN OUR BURDEN AND KEPT OUR MINDS OCCUPIED I WOULD NOT GIVE ANYTHING UP THAT CAME THROUGH THIS PROJECT OUR FIGHTS ARE HAPPY TIMES OUR DIFFICULTIES WHILE WORKING ON THE TRACTOR OR ANY OF THE MINOR AGGRAVATIONS. THESE ARE ALL THINGS THAT MAKE US GROW AS HUMAN BEINGS. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT HUNTING SEASON AND A EVEN BETTER TRACTOR TO HAUL MY DEER OUT OF THE WOODS AND PLOW NEXT YEARS GROUND DAVE DEWITT DAVID DEWITT, IN, entered 2010-10-22 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
