Odd Farmall A | In April, 1964, I went shopping for a small tractor an was sent toRev Grover Perkins. I bought his A Farmall with all equipment for 300. 00 and left it with him for a month so he could plow his garden. I still have the tractor. It is serial # FRA128. I had to g to work for IH some years later to find out from Frank Peacock, the zone Mgr that itwas a research model that 'got lost' in 1937. A similar incident he told me about was a B Farmall with a one row cottonpicker that was left witha farmer at Calhoun City, Ms the same year. He finally traded it in for a new tractor in 1967. This was also a research model. Mine also has a hydraulic pump mounting spot and has extra brackets on the axle housing. Gary Holtman, Ms, entered 2003-01-16 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
