First Tractor

When I was three my father purchased a Farmall B. I remember as a child riding the tractor and working with my father. It did not have a loader to clean out the stalls so my father purchased a ford 8N with trip bucket loader. My father had a small hobby farm in Indiana and we worked the B and 8N almost every day. When I was 18 my father passed away and the tractors were sold. I'm 31 now and just picked up a 51 Farmall Cub in a trade for an old AMC Eagle that didnt run. The Cub had sat out in weeds behind a pole barn for many years. When I got it home I found that the engine still would crank when I jumped it. After new points, cond, cap, roter and so on I found the timing 180 off and the firing order was 1234. After correcting the timing and firing order it started with a sniff of starting fluid! Now after new paint and much work she is running great and looks good, (thanks to all who have helped. ) I hope that some day I can pick up a Farmall B and Ford 8N!
