The E27N was the immediate post war trcotr produced by Fordson UK in the face of gevernment favouritism to Ferguson.
My E27N is a perkins L4 diesel conversion but until recently I also had a PetrolTVO version.
The E27N is basically a "hard Steel" tractor in that it did not have any "Tin" covers etc.
The "New" Majors E1A SuperMajors are all Tin covered tractors of later production.
Take a look at my web sites for E27N pics (as well as DUKW's and Westies):

Jerry,
the E27N had the optional Perkins P6 not L4 engine. Damon

In the factory production was switched to the Perkins P6 but as a farm conversion the P6 and later the L4 was fitted. I can assure you mine is a Perkins L4. Take a look at my web site. Whilst the L4 does not have the same sound as a P6 the L4 was a better engine as the timing was by gears rather than chain which was a weakness of P6's.
