Fordson on the mudguard

The yellow Fordson N from 1937 to 1940 had the name written in big letters down the back of the mudguard. I'm restoring a Fordson N from 1939, and I would like to have this name correct. On mine only a few of the letters were just visible. I've searched my books and magazines to find the pattern of the letters, but without success. Does anybody have a picture showing the Fordson name on the mudguard? Please mail it to olbaekk@online.no.

New one on me! Never seen a Fordson N of any year with wings sign written. Probably why you cant find them in a book.Hope this helps.

I don't know how common they were, but I've seen rudiments on a couple of tractors. And if you look on the page of the Finish Fordson Club (http://www.masinistit.com/index2.htm), you'll find a picture of a Fordson N with a wood burning generator among their many pictures. It clearly shows the name on the mudguards, but it's not possible to see all the letters and impossible to see the precise pattern. I don't know how to put a picture here, so I've sent it to your e-mail address.
If we can get the correct pattern, we are cooperating with Rubens in Sweden to make paint patterns for sale.

You certainly have a rare beast there! I dont think Im likely to see one over here. Thanks for the picture I have put it in my Fordson folder for
the future.Looks like the letters are an enlarged version of the Fordson logo to me.Best of luck with your project
