The fordson dexta on our farm has had a power washer on it for about 10 years so the hydralics were not requiredand. a bolt was put through the lever to keep it in the down position.
Now we want to use the hydralics they dont work.
Ive taken out the pump and the top cover of and can not see what is wrong what am i looking for as i am not sure.
please help me if you can.

You come to know a lot of mechanical is seized up already and take care of that. When you get into top and side cover there are a few balls and such so you really need a manual so to remember where stuff goes back. We pulled both one fine day and amidst all the beer it all went together just fine. some think I was a genius but I just made some adjustments and yes we welded a part up but forget excactly what we did -except- That filter in the side cover area is most importante and went to extremes to get it. That with extreme cleaning and all new fluids resulted in excellent hydraulic operation. This is a good little moose and I wish you well. His was Perkins diesel, however.
