Hey Folks: New to this forum but not Farmalls. Have had an H on the family farm since new in 1950. I just got a 1949 M. Was wondering if I could get some input as to what is involved in converting to 12 volt with an alternator. I know they sell conversion kits but I want to know what else has to be done. Leave it positive ground or change that? Does the starter have to be changed? Also, what about changing to electronic ignition? What changes have to be made to make this conversion or should I even consider it? Thanks ahead for the input. I read through a lot of the discussion boards and didn't see this topic covered. If I'm duplicating I am sorry just point me in the right direction. Thanks, Again
