The only down side is that it will increase the wear and tear on the differential because the mismatch tires will cause the two wheels to turn at different rates. It's a major problem on cars with "donut" spares when people don't get the regular tire fixed or replaced immediately. Because the tractor is a low-speed machine, it'll take a lot longer for the problem to show up, though. In a car, you can tear out the differential in only a few miles if you run too fast on the donut spare.
