: Hello,

: I just bought a 1 wire Delco alternator and mounted it on my Farmall 450. I was told it works when the engine is at a higher REV. Question, where does the wire go, straight to the Battery? My concern not knowing anything specific about this unit other than its a delco is that it will over charge my Battery. Do I need some new fangled Regulator or will it do everything by itself. Help me.

: Eric
If you hook it to your ammeter you will know its working be sure the meter is of adequite capacity also watch your polarity 450 were originall positive ground most all the alternaters you see are for negitive ground systems if it is the case you should reverse the wires on the coil , the ammeter, and the battrey .
