: I am looking form information on the "Multi Power" system. What it is, how it works, what type of fluid should be used in this tractor. The model number of my tractor is MF-50 and serial number is CGW 536696 . Also what type of brake shoes are on it ie: possibly large truck will work.

: I have just purchased this unit and don't really know a lot about it.
Ray - the "multi-power" is a hydralic operated clutch of the automatic transmission type - To give you a hi/lo range and doubles the number of gears you have. It shifts on the go BUT don't shift from lo to hi when under a heavey load as it tends to shorten the life of the clutch. BUT it uses the normal transmission/hydralic oil that is needed in the transmission. Please note that when in LOW range the clutch is over-running (or no engine braking) this is important when you go down a steep hill unloaded or any hill with a load. Take if from someone that went on one hell of a ride, a lot faster than you ever want to go on a tractor!
Spend the money to get a good shop manual. good luck, Pete
