: : : : I have to move an older tractor 150 miles. Would it kill the thing to drive it over a three day period?

: : : What a ride that would be!!! It probably wouldn't kill the tractor, but I might kill the driver. Hope it has a cab, radial tires, and a fast road gear. Otherwise, enjoy the ride.

: : Mike, Do yourself and the tractor a favor and hire a local trucker to move it. 150 miles is a long road trip! I've hired auto salvage drivers with rollback trucks and contractors with flatbed trailers. The cost is minimal, the peace of mind invaluable. Good luck.

: First : My old tractor is about 45 years old. I think there is a couple more miles left in her . But I don't think I would want to ride a tractor on the hi-ways (which There not aloud any way.) for a 150 miles. The cost of having the tractor hauled compaired to the cost of Gas,Food ,You have to Sleep somewhere for those three days. and Lets see. Old tractor mabe 12 miles per hr. So you can't take any major hy-ways so there will be some delays. Do you think 3 days would be enough??? I would have it Shipped .

I was thinking about driving my tractors 45 miles over the hiway and thru the... desert. But think it's easier on me, the tires, and everything else (including the wife) to have a mechanic haul it for thirty bucks. Safer and less time too. Me
