Clear title in Illinois? If the financer is experienced they require insurance that covers loss 'due to criminal acts' on the loan, they add the premium to the loan to cover drug and other seizures for less than best credit customers. State sales of siezed property can be a bit iffy, some auction companies require title insurance fee to cover themselves on sales after selling seized previously stolen cars, etc. This includes federal seizures. Takes some time to get all the paperwork straight. RN
