My first date car was a '67 Galaxie 500 2 door hard top. Had replaced the 289 with a 302 HO. to heavy for real fast and topped out around 118. If I wanted speed when young it had to come from a Yamaha 350 with lots of extras. I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
