1969 ford 3000 ??

What are/were the transmission options on this tractor? If different, is one better than the other. Just ran across one reasonably close with FEL and in real good shape (IAW pictures) for a good price. German word for the transmission is syncron but have seen that word used for a manual that is easy to shift and automatic transmissions.

Tranny options for that model were 8 sp w/lpto, 6 sp w/wo lpto, 4 sp w/o lpto and 10 sp Select O Speed with Ipto.
They are great small tractors.
 

Thanks! Seems that the higher the fuel prices go the cheaper the tractors are getting. May be a good time even though I had decided to keep my tractor and not replace it.

Dave, I have a friend who is into fords, his advice is to stay away from the SOS, or jerkomatic, as it is known around here! Main reason is few people will work on them, at least around the mid atlantic area, I only know of 1 dealer, who knows how to repair them. Might be different in Germany, but around here, if it has the slot machine lever up near the dash, most won't fool around with it.
 
Dave - Just a word of caution with the 3000's. The front axles are a little weak and don't hold up to heavy FEL work. If you are just looking to load some manure into a spreader you should be fine. If you want to move round bales of hay, keep looking.

Went and looked at it today........ Hard to believe the pics were of the same tractor. Looked like a balloon paint job (filled balloons with paint and threw them at it). Only question I asked if it was the tractor in ad#xxxx. Guy said yea and I said thanks and left without even looking at anything else he had on the place. Got to digging later and it seems about everything he has is priced low and been for sale for a long time. Maybe a connection there.......
