white 2-135

Nebraska test data says they have a White engine but at 478 cubic inches I have a feeling they might actually be Hercules engines
 
They have a Hercules engine in them. We have three Whites on the farm and the 2-135 is our main. ours is a red stripped one. Starts good with glow plugs. Check the oil in the over/under drive unit. Make sure its not burnt.
 
Yep,I've got a red stripe series 3. Nice tractor. Kinda likes it's fuel,but does a lot of work. When I bought it,I asked the dealer if he'd guarantee it. He said he didn't want to guarantee the motor,but he's stand behind the transmission and rearend.Not that there's anything wrong with the motor in them,just that the transmission and rearend are pretty much bullet proof. The guy that delivered it said the same thing. I told him I had really been looking for a 2-110 or an excellent 2-105. He said I'd like the 2-135 a lot better,that the trans and rearend were a lot better in them.
 
Have a very good friend that bought one new. We had to over haul the motor several years ago, at about 4800 hrs.. It has a Hercules motor. We could not find any after market over haul kits. The one from Agco was $9600 for sleeves, pistons, bearings and caskets. I would not have started the over haul if I knew the parts where that high.

The rest of the tractor is common with other models and the parts where not that high.
