Can't Believe I did that... (Again)

Well guys, yesterday afternoon, I started rebuilding my rebuilt B engine. I got it into my shop, and took off the top of the engine, and the oil pan and pickup tube, plus the clutch, flywheel, etc.

Everything looks good in there so far, although there is a oily/watery/dirty mess that covers everything inside of the engine that i will have to clean out.

I plan on having the crankshaft turned and putting new bearings in it, since I'm pretty sure it was out of round when i put it in there, and the bearings are an assortment out of a couple of different engines.

But what about the pistons, rods, and sleeves?? What should I look for in those, to see if they're okay to re-use?? I still have the engine in my "C" to take apart, and I'm planning on selling the leftover parts to help pay for whatever I have to buy.

It accually felt nice taking this thing apart, which is the last thing that I was expecting to feel at the end of the day... Anyways, I made a movie about it, and I hope you guys enjoy it...

You check the pistons and sleeve bore like this.

Or buy an over bore piston and sleeve kit.

Take the valves out of the head & dry it all out good, then oil it all up before they get pitted from rust. Do the same with anything you want to save or sell.

Always enjoy watching your "self help" videos! Glad to see you back working on something you like to do, Lanse!
You were thinking a while back of constructing an implement for your tractor (backblade, 3point gin pole)....did you ever make something?
