Lincoln Ranger 8 LPG - no fuel?

I just pick up the welder and it will start if I spray cleaner in the carb. It did not come with a tank or regulator. I try to hook up the tank from the grill using the grill regulator/hose.

Setup: Tank -> grill regulator -> 12v valve/switch -> some canister -> regular fuel line -> another regulator (I think) -> carb

When I put 12v to the 12v valve I do not get gas? Should I?
Or should the 12v valve have full tank pressure with NO regulated pressure?

It depends on the model of the second regulator. It could be one that needs tank pressure and it could possible need Liquid Propane. The few LP fueled welders I have seen were set-up to use a Fork Lift tank. All Fork Lift tanks are set-up to supply Liquid LP to the fork lift's engine via a Vaporizer, yes they are made for air cooled engines also, which is all the regulator you would need.

I expect you would need to make sure the code of your welder matches the numbers provided in order to make sure you the welder the manual is for.

It talks about tank hook up and fittings, etc.

The hose I have has a 1/4 male fitting. Is that what a stand fork lift tank would take?
