Kerosene price YIKES!!!

Went down to the friendly Dandy mini mart this AM to get a 5 gallon jug of kerosene. Overnite the price jumped $.20 a gallon to $3.40 a gallon! What is everyone else paying around the country? I'd be afraid if not ashamed to be seen in public if I were running one of these fuel outfits.

Looks like I haven't got much to b***h about. I didn't check the price of diesel this AM. I figured it was cheaper to go 1 1/2 miles and pay a little more for the kero than make a 14 mile round trip to get off road diesel. Wrong!
Yesterday diesel was $3.50 a gallon, so if you take the $.50 a gallon road tax off it's a bargain.

Doesn't sound bad at least you have it available. Around NE Ind. it is getting hard to find seems nobody wants to handle it anymore

When I bought diesel thursday, at $3.49 the kero pump next to it said $3.45, 87 gasoline is $3.29, in Eastern NY. I have heard $4.00 gas again by spring, Im not saying its true, but you hear things. j

I've heard say, "The Amish are lucky, They don't
need to buy gasoline", but with kerosene that
high, for lamp oil, they must go to bed at sunset !

At 20 cent a gallon you should have bought all they would sell. It has not been like that since I have been old enough to buy it. It has always been about the same as diesel around here. JJ

Stop and think aboout it. Around here they pay more for water than they do for gas and I don't here anybody complain about that. I think that I will buy stock in bottled water.

A couple of weeks ago I took my containers to the local Co-op and paid $3.06 for bulk kero. They had a 500 gallon barrel of it and I don't know when it was filled. A lot of hog farmers in this area use it in their pressure washers. Jim

I have a kerosene heater I use to heat up the outer part of my shop if it's cold. Fortunately, I don't have to do it too often, it was $6.99 a gallon a couple of weeks ago at a Mom and Pop lumberyard, and $11.99 a gallon at a Mom and Pop parts store. This time of year, Texas ain't so bad... Gas is near $3.00 a gallon, and diesel is over that. I ain't seeing no relief of any kind myself...

At the airport???? Your talking Amercian, but in french. What the hell do jet fuel priceses have to do wit kero?

Kerosene is 3.29 a gallon here.It had been 2.89 for a long time.I keep 2 gallons on hand for lamps. Most country stores have it for sale.Out side oil tanks have to use kerosene or a blend of #2 and kero to avoid gelling in the filter.Ive bought a lot of kerosene for 15 20 cents a gallon.

French ???
Sorry I only know a few dozen words of French from public school french class.
Outside of northern New Brunswick, most of Quebec and odd bits of northern Ontario. The vast majority of Canada is not French. A small militant minority embedded in the Federal Government would like the world to believe Canada is french.
I'll admit the French women take way better care of them selves than the average Canadian or American women.

At the begining of the season (mid Nov) I paid #3.29 then it jumped to $3.59 (early Dec) last night another jump to $3.99 I use it in a heater in the basement when i do work down there At this rate I may switch to electric heater Chicago suburb

You guys paying $9+ a gallon...

Is that in containers off the shelf?

My local Hess has a kerosene pump by the air compressor.

They make you sign a register. Apparently kerosene is used in the production of crystal meth?
