John Deer truck ?

..don't know the guy you are referring to but a fellow that worked at JD here in Exeter Ontario put a JD engine in a Ford F150 and he seemed to get along real well with it,I never got to look at it closely but he ran that thing for several years, haven't seen the truck around in a while...proves it can be done!

this guy was posting pictures on here a couple of months ago showing his progress never did see the finished project

back in 1977 or so JD used the v8 tractor motor in their parts semi delivery units, at least for a while. Don't think it worked out too well??

I have seen a JD V-8 in a Ruan truck back about 1986. Don't know how well it worked and I heard there was some concern about front axle loads.

Deere briefly had their own four valve per cylinder V8. They had high hopes for a share of the highway and mid sized off road market. A few engines were installed in highway vehicles for testing.

JD also put some 6 cyl engines in some medium duty trucks that they hauled some sale and training related items in. I think it was late 70's or early 80's.
